First Project Complete: Table Numbers

For table numbers at my reception, I wanted to make something that I would be able to keep and make use of in the future. Instead of printing table numbers on cardstock like most couples do, I decided to buy wooden numbers from the store. I found mine at Michaels for about $1.50 a piece. I will be having 8 or 9 tables at my reception. Also at Michaels I picked up a bottle of black wood glue to go with my black & white theme. I painted each number black and let them dry over night. I knew all along that they were not going to stand up on their own, but didn't quite have an idea of what I would be doing with them yet, until I was at the dollar tree and came across oval shaped wood pieces, perfect! I bought 9 of those and went home and sanded the bottom of the numbers that had a curved bottom (i.e 3,5, etc.) I of course painted the oval wooden pieces black as well, and when they were dry, hot glued the number and the "base" together. Once finished with that I put on pearl looking decals to give it a little depth, and also stick with my black & white color theme. Hope you enjoy!
